That time has come again to spurt out yet another free video game from deep within the bowels of the SlobsofGaming. So put on your thinking caps and start barking out guesses of what game you think this giant face-shattering iron fist is from. What game will you win? It shall be revealed after a winner emerges. Good luck!
Medieval maces are no match for fatty lead gloves with spiked knuckes!
UPDATE: New entries are in!
- 1. Create a video game weapon of your own design.
- 2. Slap it in any piece of concept art, a video game screenshot, or simply draw something by hand!
- 3. Give us a short blurb (use spelling and grammar) about your weapon, what it does, and why it's awesome.
Send your entries to mckinley_noble@gamepro.com*** (one per user) and we'll post them here on SlobsofGaming. LongHairedOffender and KenTheGreat1 will select a winner sometime next Monday. Also, hit the jump to watch a clip from Code Monkeys, courtesy of G4TV!
PS: We'd also like to give a special thanks to Spooty_the_Gameguru for the contest idea. Thanks for reading! (Send KenTheGreat1 a PM so we can send you something from our swag pile.)
*Code Monkeys will not actually set your furniture on fire.
** PlayStation 3 or X360 only. We're keeping the Wii games for now.

Sample Entry: The Liquified B.U.M. Stool Super Soaker
B.U.M., or Bum Urinary Mansludge, is the most lethal substance known to humankind, weaponized in this handy dandy mega-sized super soaker cannon! One squirt of these foul-smelling hobo juices will not only obliterate shields, but also disintegrate your flesh and health meter. (Comes with an optional septic tank-refill backpack!)
The Fourth of July is awesome. Grilling hot dogs, seeing Will Smith movies, and lighting fireworks is something that America should do more often! And while we thought about boring you with a PSA about firework safety, the Slobs have instead decided to remind you about Boom Boom Rocket and FantaVision: two firework-crazy games that don't even require you to step away from your BBQ ribs!
For the best firework gaming experience you can get, just have a few things handy:
- A big-ass television
- FantaVision and a PS2, or Boom Boom Rocket and an X360
- Huge speakers
- A DDR pad for multiplayer parties
And presto! Instant, non-injury risk fireworks for everyone! We'll see you guys back here next week, so don't lose any fingers!
We've got a brand-new copy of My Weight Loss Coach burning a hole in our cubicle, so we're having a good old-fashioned picture contest! Rules: Send us a photo of your gamer gut, and the best one wins My Weight Loss Coach! We repeat, the photo must include your gamer-gut with any gaming controller, and NO photoshopping!
(Send your entries to mckinley_noble@gamepro.com and keep it PG!)
HINT: Be creative! Use a Rock Band controller or that Taiko Drum Master set rotting away in your closet! Hell, we might just give the prize away to someone with a Power Glove, who knows?
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.
WINNARS: Our winners, edgefusion and chazone get the technical tie! Send your info to me via PM or email to claim your free stuff. Next time, we'll have a harder screenshot!
This game's old, but an obscure cult classic. Will the first commenter win?
Welcome, true slobs! We're winding down a frantic Friday here at SlobsofGaming, so let's all kick back with a little obscure screenshot trivia -- guess the game, win a prize, all that jazz. We'll update right here once we have a winnar!
It's a brand-new episode of the GamePro Show, with editor commentary, awesome video footage, and more gaming greatness for everyone to enjoy!
See the blood and guts in Ninja Gaiden II! Witness zombie rampages and gruesome character death in RE5! And Snake makes the old look better than ever in Guns of the Patriots!
I honestly have no idea what's going down in this screen.
We're throwing another difficult screen your way this week! If you've played this game, the first step to winning is admitting it! Are you man/woman enough to claim our fantastic prize this week? The first person to guess where this screenshot originates from wins a copy of MX vs ATV Untamed for PSP. Good luck and let the guessing begin!
UPDATE: THE WINNERS HAVE BEEN DECIDED.
Since we had a three-way, LongHairedOffender and KenTheGreat1 have cast the breaking votes. Thanks for all the entries!
1st place: manwithaball (Prize: The Club for PS3)
2nd place: Aluru (Prize: Jackass the Game for PSP)
3rd place: Acefondu (Prize: Swashbucklers for PS2)
The Slobs love to make fun of video game culture, and we want you to get in on the fun! For the next week, we're running a very special kind of contest. Make an inspirational gaming-related poster, send it to mckinley_noble@gamepro.com, and we'll award three talented winners with free games! The rules are simple: be funny and be creative (no stealing)!
The highest-voted posters will win our prizes (vote in the comments section), and the deadline is next Monday @ 9 in the morning. Follow the leader! Show us some inspiration!

Pokemon Platinum has been announced for the Nintendo DS, and we're already twitching with desire...
Say goodbye to everyone you knew. Tell your loved ones that you're going away for a while. Stock up on water and supplies.
This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but with Pokemon Platinum.
Pokemon, I can't resist you. No one can. You're like cookies for diabetics. Crack for drug addicts. Cankles for chubby chasers. When the Platinum version hits America, all civilization as we know it will come to an halt, as we get ready to catch 'em all over again. Heed my words.
You know gaming is becoming more and more mainstream when it's used as material for jokes on Saturday Night Live. Then again, the Grand Theft Auto games are no ordinary video games. Watch as two SNL'ers do their best impressions of Niko and Vlad from GTA IV and poke some fun at the not-so-natural character mannerisms in the game.
